Ornament Sweater - Adult

Ornament Sweater is a modern twist and reinterpretation of the classic Christmas Sweater. It is part of our 2026 Christmas collection.

Ornament Sweater is worked from the top down using 1 strand of Merino + 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout. It has a circular yoke construction and features a decorative border of baubles hanging from spruce branches – just like on a decorated Christmas tree. 

You begin with the ribbed neckband and continue with neckline shaping using German short rows. Afterwards, increases are worked around the yoke down to the underarms. After the yoke is finished, sleeve stitches are placed on hold to be worked after the body has been completed. The body is then further shaped by working additional German short rows at each underarm for a better fit before you start working the charted Fair Isle pattern. Sleeves are worked from the top down. Ribbed edges finish the body and sleeves.

The Fair Isle pattern is charted only, with details embroidered on afterwards.
