Holly Dress features a beautiful and detailed allover lace pattern, a decorative welt, a wide and long skirt, and ¾ length sleeves. Folded edges with little bells finish the sleeves and skirt hem, while an i-cord edge finishes the neck opening. There is a little split in one of the raglan seams on the back that is closed with a button and a crochet loop. Holly Dress is worked from the bottom up, both flat and in the round, using 1 strand of either Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk.

You start with the hem and work the folded bell edge before you continue with the charted lace pattern up to the underarms. Here, work is placed on hold while you work the sleeves. Sleeves are worked in the round starting with a folded bell edge and then later joined with the body at the underarms. The yoke is shaped with charted raglan decreases, initially in the round and later back and forth. An i-cord edge finishes the neckline.
The Holly lace pattern is charted only. Please note that due to the nature of the lace pattern, the dress will stretch and get wider when worn.
