Color Rain Cardigan is worked using 8 strands of Soft Silk Mohair in 2 different colorways to create a beautiful fade. It is worked back and forth in stockinette stitch from the top down with raglan increases to the underarms. Here, you divide body and sleeves, and start working the sleeves next. The sleeves are intentionally worked before the body so that you have the option of adding extra length to the body later without that interfering with the fade on the sleeves. Both body and sleeves are finished with ribbed edges. There are no buttonholes, as due to the loose gauge, the stitches along the edges can easily be used as buttonholes if you like buttons on your cardigan.

Color Rain Cardigan is designed with positive ease. To choose the correct size, look at the ‘to fit chest circumference’ measurements on the previous page. If your actual chest circumference is, say, 98 cm [38½”], you should choose to knit a size M in order to achieve the intended fit.
