Gooseberry Dress is a simple dress with a slight A-line shape and an edge of berries and leaves around the entire bottom edge of the skirt. It can be knit with either short, 3/4 length or long sleeves. Gooseberry Dress is worked from the bottom up with 1 strand of either Merino or Pure Silk.

You start working the charted gooseberry edge back and forth. Afterwards, stitches for the skirt are picked up and the skirt is subsequently worked in the round up to the underarms. Sleeves are worked in the round, and afterwards, body and sleeves are joined on one needle. Yoke is worked in the round up to the back neck opening where you start working the last part of the dress back and forth again. I-cord edges finish the sleeves and neckband, and the back neck opening is closed with a button and a crochet loop.

The gooseberry stitch pattern for the edge is charted only.
