Sigrid Blouse is a wardrobe essential – a simple and classic spring and summer blouse featuring a wide boat neck and i-cord edges. The overall fit is comfortable and loose without being oversized. The blouse is worked in stockinette stitch from the top down using 1 strand of either Cotton Merino, Pure Silk or Merino. You start with working the upper part of the back. Here, you shape the back with German short rows before you pick up stitches for the shoulders. The boat neck is shaped by casting on new stitches and the armholes are shaped with increases before front and back are joined on the same needle and the body continued in the round. Once the body is completed, stitches are picked up for the sleeves. The sleeve cap is shaped with German short rows before the sleeve is continued in the round and shaped with decreases. I-cord edges finish the body, neckline and sleeves – creating a neat and durable finish.
